Absolutely! For promotional products we can provide a virtual sample by email showing your logo on the product.  A physical sample of the actual item and in some cases a pre-production sample.

It is the policy of MG Print and Promotions to provide our customers with random samples as needed.

Unless otherwise arranged, samples are shipped  Ground, utilizing the customer’s shipping account. Samples totaling over $10.00 in value are prepaid by the client, and credited back to the client’s account if returned to MG Print and Promotion within 14 days of receipt. Shipping charges are not reimbursable.

Additionally, the value of the samples, up to $100, are credited against paid invoices  for orders placed with MG Print and Promotions. Standard practice in the promotional products industry is to charge actual shipping charges from the factory either to our location or to yours. We never charge for a local delivery of goods produced locally.

We accept cash, checks and Master Card, Visa and American Express. For brand new customers we do appreciate a deposit with your first few orders and payment when delivered.  Once we develop a relationship we can then establish credit terms

We accept files from most of the major layout programs.

We prefer files created in Adobe’s Creative Suite version 5.5

Files that will be silk screened or embroidered must be vectorized.  Those files should have extensions like; file.eps or filename.ai. We cannot use files that are not vector images.

If you are submitting a file for print it should be a high resolution pdf file . All colors should be created in CMYK and all fonts should be converted to outlines.

Files created in MS Publisher require that you approve a printed sample. Because of the instability of Publisher your file may require extra work and charges. We do not accept files created in Microsoft Word, Excel or Powerpoint

We are happy to provide templates to make layout easier or when all else fails let us do it. We’re the experts.

We want you to have the best finished job possible. We can only do that if we do things the way we’ve been trained.

Here is what Wikipedia says about bleeds;

here Bleed is a printing term that refers to printing that goes beyond the edge of the sheet before trimming. In other words, the bleed is the area to be trimmed off. The bleed is the part on the side of a document that gives the printer a small amount of space to account for movement of the paper, and design inconsistencies. Artwork and background colors can extend into the bleed area. After trimming, the bleed ensures that no unprinted edges occur in the final trimmed document.

It is very difficult to print exactly to the edge of a sheet of paper/card so, to achieve this, it is necessary to print a slightly larger area than is needed and then trim the paper/card down to the required finished size. Images, background images and fills which are intended to extend to the edge of the page must be extended beyond the trim line to give a bleed.

Bleeds in the US generally are 1/8 of an inch from where the cut is to be made. Bleeds in the UK and Europe generally are 2 to 5mm from where the cut is to be made. This can vary from one print company to another. Some printers ask for specific sizes; most of these companies place the specific demands on their website or offer templates that are already set to their required bleed settings.
